Kirkstall Road police incident: Emergency services reopen Willow Road junction after person spotted on bridge

Kirkstall Road has reopened after a person was spotted on the railway bridge.

The road was closed at the junction with Willow Road, near Cardigan Fields, for several hours.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all at the scene and traffic was being redirected.

At least one person could be soon stood on the edge of the bridge on the line between Leeds Station and Burley Park Station.

Train operator Northern said there were "trespassers on the railway".

West Yorkshire Police said they were responding to concerns for someone's safety.

Kirkstall Road reopened at around 2.30pm, but trains may still be subject to delays further into the afternoon.
