s reported in yesterday’s Yorkshire Evening Post, people from across the area attended a church service on Sunday to remember 51-year-old Mrs Newman and the lost youngsters, 11-year-old Shannon and six-year-old Shane.

“It will take a long time to recover but the community in the village is a strong one and hopefully that will help the healing process which needs to be gone through.”

Shop manager Mrs Newman and her children were killed by her 42-year-old estranged husband Paul Newman, who later jumped to his death from a cliff in Wales.
