Going Yak to the future for a cool time-out

It's not every day you see a huge Tibetan yak roaming the streets of Leeds.
But surprised passers-by were in for a treat when the massive mammal made an appearance outside Leeds City Museum.
The three-metre yak was among some of the exhibits to be whisked away for a deep freeze to help with conservation work.
Routine monitoring by the museum team discovered moth larvae in the yak’s case- an insect which feeds on natural fibres including fur and feathers.
