Ten fire engines and specialist units were called to the fire in Pepper Road at 7pm on Friday, April 23.

Residents were told to keep doors and windows closed due to the amount of smoke, which could be seen across Leeds.

Drivers were also told to avoid the area.

The fire service issued an update to say the fire had been contained at 9.40pm.

Crews remained on scene damping down overnight.

They left the scene at about 8am on Saturday, April 24.
