Firefighters called after 10 month old dog gets stuck in a treehouse in Tingley

Rescuing a cat stuck up a tree is one of the jobs everyone imagines firefighters do at least once in their careers.

But it's not often they have to save dogs stuck up trees.

That's exactly what happened when ten month old Bentley walked up the steps of a treehouse in Tingley.

The adventurous pup clearly couldn't help wanting to see what was up the steps on Wednesday (17) morning - but walking back down them looked less than appealing, as pictures shared by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) show.

A fire crew from Morley was sent to Haigh Moor Road in Tingey to help the dog down.

WYFRS posted to on social media: "You've probably heard about cats getting stuck up trees, but what about a dog stuck up a tree!?

"Morley Blue watch helped rescue 10 month old Bentley down from a tree house after he'd climbed to the top on his own!

"We're not sure he'll be going back up there any time soon!"
