Ex-Leeds United goalkeeper helps school celebrate

FORMER LEEDS United and England goalkeeper Nigel Martyn helped a school celebrate its survival.

Spring Hill School in Ripon, North Yorkshire, has been taken over by Cambian Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist care and education.

Cambrian plans ‘significant investment’ and has now renamed the school Cambian Spring Hill School. It aims to provide education and care for students with autism who also have complex needs and challenging behaviour.

The school staged an open day for students, parents, local authorities and community groups to attend with football training and a computer gaming workshop.

The school also welcomed Councillor Pauline McHardy, Mayor of Ripon.
