The case has been sent to Leeds Crown Court and the next hearing will be on February 5. Blackburn was remanded in custody.

The charge comes after police were called to York Street, just down from Leeds Bus Station, shortly after 10am on Friday, January 2, to reports that a man had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital with injuries that were serious but not believed to be life threatening and a cordon was put in place outside of St Anne’s Resource Centre and York Street Health Practice.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and being in possession of class B drugs. She was interviewed and released on bail.
