Yeadon driver arrested after being found with £1,000 of heroin and crack cocaine

A driver who was stopped in Yeadon was found with what police believe to be thousands of pounds worth of heroin and crack cocaine.

Officers from the Leeds North West neighbourhood policing team stopped the car on on Monday, June 7.

They found approximately £1000 worth of suspected heroin and crack cocaine on the driver.

The driver was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "This morning, Officers from Leeds North West NPT stopped a vehicle in Yeadon & found approximately £1000 worth of suspected heroin and crack cocaine on the driver.

"The driver was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A and an investigation has begun.

"The supply and use of illegal drugs is something we take very seriously and will continue to combat whenever encountered, to keep our communities safe from the devastating effects Class A drugs can have."
