Wilks, 34, was part of a group that killed Jamie Meah in Armley in March.

Mr Meah, 18, was dragged from a taxi and killed with a sword. Mr Meah’s friend was also left with serious injuries during the bloody assault which was linked to drug dealing.

Wilks was found guilty of manslaughter following a trial, having encouraged others in the killing.

All four suspects then fled the country.

Khan is accused of booking international travel and hotels for Wilks in a bid to impede his apprehension.

Wilks later returned from Turkey a year later and was met by police and arrested at Leeds Bradford Airport.

The three other suspects in the killing - Aquade Jeffers, Caleb Awe and Enham Nishat - remain at large.
