West Yorkshire police officer due in court on attempted rape charges

A West Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with attempted rape, sexual assault and perverting the course of justice.

Police Constable Jonathan Holmes, 22, based in the Bradford District, is due to face the charges at Leeds Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 23.

A short statement published by West Yorkshire Police says PC Holmes is currently suspended from the force.

The charges, the force added, relate to an incident whilst off duty.
