At about 4.45pm on Wednesday, July 8, road policing officers identified a suspected stolen Seat Leon in Selby Road.

The car did not stop for police and a chase begun.

Officers stop pursuing after the car was driven dangerously.

A National Police Air Service helicopter that was supporting the pursuit tracked the vehicle to Copperfield View in Cross Green.

Two men were detained.

The car was then confirmed to have been stolen in a burglary.

The men were arrested on suspicion of burglary and dangerous driving.

Both remain in custody.
