Two arrested after 18-year-old man seriously injured in Otley attack

Two people have been arrested after an 18-year-old man was seriously injured in an assault in Otley.

The injured victim was found on the street on Kirkgate at about 8.30pm on Saturday (July 11).

He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A 40-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of assault and an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident.

Both are currently in police custody.

Police have closed Kirkgate, outside the Red Lion Pub, as they investigate the attack.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
