Three men arrested after McDonald's incident where man kicked in the head

Three men have been arrested after an incident outside McDonald's where a video showed a man being kicked in the head.

Police were called to Albion Street at 2.50am on Tuesday to reports that an unidentified victim had been hit over the head with a bottle.

Officers attended and enquiries led to three men, aged 18, 23, and 24, being arrested on suspicion of affray.

They were later released on bail pending further enquiries.

No victim was identified for the assault .

No other offences were reported to the police relation to the incident.

A video went viral showing a security guard kick a man who was laid on the floor.

McDonald's has launched a full investigation into the incident.

A McDonald's spokesperson said: “It is completely unacceptable to see anyone behaving this way, and we are in the process of fully investigating the incident.

"The individual in question works for an external security company and will not be on duty at any of our restaurants while the investigation is ongoing."
