Teen arrested after firework let off next to KFC in The Broadway shopping centre

A teenager has been arrested after a firework was set off in the food court of a popular shopping centre - injuring two people.

Police were called at 1.28pm on Wednesday (Oct 28) to reports of an incident at The Broadway Shopping Centre in Bradford.

A 16-year-old teen was reported to have set off a firework inside the building, police said.

Two women suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect fled from the scene but was arrested by officers shortly after and taken into custody.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident in partnership with Youth Services and The Broadway shopping centre.
