The attack happened on Stanks Parade in Swarcliffe on Tuesday, April 13.

An 18-year-old man was attacked with a machete.

His hand was completely severed.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, and his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Joshua Tilleard, aged 23, of Baildon, Shipley, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon

He is also charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop in relation to the circumstances of his arrest yesterday.

Kyle Hughes, aged 24, of no fixed address has been charged with violent disorder.

Both men are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning.
