Shocking footage shows car on fire in busy Leeds ASDA car park

This is the shocking moment a car went up in flames in a busy Leeds supermarket on Wednesday afternoon.

The Mercedes was attended to by the fire service in the car park of ASDA Owlcotes, Pudsey, at around 4pm according to eye-witnesses.

Video footage provided to the YEP shows the car engulfed in flames.

Robert Bohanna, who saw the incident, said the emergency services were quick to respond.

Robert added: "It was in Asda Owlcotes, Pudsey.

"A black Mercedes was on fire.

"The fire services were quick to respond.

"As far as I’m aware nobody was injured."

The cause of the fire is not yet known and the YEP can not yet confirm if anyone was injured.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for more information.
