Serious assault in Leeds suburb prompts police arrest operation
All five are currently in custody
An arrest operation was conducted yesterday at a number of addresses in Leeds in connection with an investigation into a serious assault earlier this week.
A 20-year-old man and four 17-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. One of the 17-year-olds was also arrested for possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and two of the others were arrested for drug possession offences.
All five are currently in custody.

An investigation was launched after a 19-year-old man attended hospital on the evening of Monday, July 6, with a stab wound. From enquiries it is understood that he was assaulted earlier that day in the Chapeltown area of Leeds.
The 19-year-old received treatment for his injuries and was later arrested and taken into custody.
He has since been charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
