Road closed as five crews tackle large fire on Roundhay Road in Leeds

Emergency services were called to the scene after a large fire broke out in Leeds.

It happened at about 1.15pm on Roundhay Road in Harehills.

The blaze broke out in a property above the Jamales Junction shop.

The roof was seriously damaged in the fire.

The scene of a fire on Roundhay Road, Harehills, Leeds, on Tuesday, August 11.

Five fire engines were called to the scene - two from Killingbeck and one each from Moortown, Leeds, and Hunslet.

The aerial ladder from Leeds was also called to the scene.

Police and ambulance crews were also in attendance.

Roundhay Road was closed during the incident.
