Pudsey police incident: Valley Road closed in both directions due to serious crash

Emergency services have been called to a serious crash in Pudsey.

It happened at about 11.40am on Valley Road near the junction with Tennyson Street.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash which left one car on its side.

Valley Road was closed in both directions as police, fire crews and paramedics attend the scene.

An eyewitness said: "A car has overturned and the driver had to be rescued.

"There were three ambulances, three fire engines and a police car at the scene."

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police has confirmed that one person has sustained minor injuries.

They were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The crash has now been cleared and the road has reopened.
