Police release update on Leeds street attack which left man with stab wound and head injury

Police have released an update on a street attack in Leeds which left a man with serious injuries.

A man in his 20s was found with a head injury and a stab wound to his body on Freemantle Place, Halton Moor, at 1.16pm yesterday (Monday, July 6).

He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are serious but not believed to be life threatening.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police has confirmed this morning that the 19-year-old man has been released without charge.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone who saw what happened or has any information is asked to contact Leeds District CID on 101 or online at www.westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk/101livechat referencing crime number 13200337682.
