A police cordon was put in place in Leeds city centre this morning.
Passers-by reported pools of blood in Duncan Street, near to Five Guys restaurant.
But West Yorkshire Police had lifted the cordon as of 10am and the incident was not thought to be serious.
The incident was not thought to be a shooting or stabbing.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the force's logs did not indicate a serious incident but that it was likely to have been a 'low level assault' with a crime scene cordon installed a precaution, although officers were unable to confirm the exact details as of this morning (Sunday, December 16).
The cordon has now been lifted as these images show.
