Police investigate criminal damage after window smashed at city centre wine merchant
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing
Police are investigating after a window of a wine merchant in Leeds city centre was found smashed this morning (July 24).
Officers were called to Latitude Wine and Liquor Merchant on The Calls at 7.40am after a report of criminal damage.
Latitude Wine later shared an image on social media of a smashed front window.

The business said that it appeared someone had damaged the property to grab a magnum of chartreuse visible in the window, which was a dummy bottle for display purposes.
They also thanked a member of the public who found the abandoned bottle and returned it to staff.
Writing on Instagram, a spokesperson from Latitude Wine and Liquor Merchant said: “Obviously it was a dummy bottle so more fool for them, but it also makes this criminal damage more pointless.
“This puts a real dampener on the month so if any one [sic] feels like popping in to buy a bottle in the shop or a glass in the bar or heading online to place an order this weekend it would really help to support an independent wine merchant and bar.”
West Yorkshire Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
