The 78-year-old victim was enjoying a Christmas meal at the carvery on December 27 when she noticed her bag was missing at about 5.30pm.

Her daughter, Janet Habet, said her mum is now too scared to carry a bag outside.

Janet, who lives in East Ardsley, said: "She was sat eating when it was taken and noticed it was gone when she got up to leave.

"She was very upset, as she thought they were going to come to the house. They had the locks changed.

"She isn’t going out as much as she won't go out with a bag, now she only wants to go out if my dad goes and carries the money."

West Yorkshire Police want to speak to the two people pictured in CCTV footage in connection with the theft.
