Pensioner hospitalised after north Leeds crash

A 72-year-old woman was left with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in north Leeds.

The elderly pedestrian was knocked down by a blue Land Rover Range Rover outside Manning Stainton estate agents in Shadwell Lane, Moortown, yesterday at 9.35am.

She was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary where she was yesterday being treated for serious head injuries.

West Yorkshire Police are keen to speak to anyone who has witnessed this collision or the events leading up to the collision. 

Anyone with information is asked to call PC 813 Martyn Burns in the Eastern Area Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team via 101.
