Man arrested over attempted sex attack in Farsley park

The woman was walking through Hainsworth Park on Saturday evening when she was grabbed walking onto New Park Walk at around 22.25pm.

West Yorkshire Police said the victim managed to escape, and sustained only minor injuries in the assault, but was left badly shaken.

A 37-year-old man was arrested on Monday night in connection with the crime and is and remains in custody.

Meanwhile, detectives are continuing to investigate the offence and are keen to hear from anyone with information which could help with the case.
