Also sentenced this week was a rapist who was caught on camera kidnapping and dragging a teenage woman back to his flat after she tried to escape his clutches.

7. Kyle Bennett
Kyle Bennett, 18, of Iveson Close, Lawnswood, was jailed for 19 months after admitting starting a fire and dealing in Class A drugs. 8. Adam England
Adam England, 43, Scaife Garth, Pocklington, East Yorkshire, was jailed for 24 months after he led police on a high-speed chase through Armley, Hyde Park and Leeds city centre on January 25 last year, then later lied to cops claiming his car had been stolen prior to the pursuit. | West Yorkshire Police/National World

9. Kieran Smith
Kieran Smith, 31, of Scott Hall Avenue, Chapeltown, was jailed for 24 months after admitting charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop and affray. The court heard how he carried out a brutal assault on a man at a 24-hour shop on Scott Hall Road with his sister Lauren, before climbing into his car and trying to drag him out on January 26. | West Yorkshire Police/Google

10. Bryn Perry
Bryn Perry, 20, formerly of Thorpe Road, Middleton, but now of no fixed address, was jailed for 32 months after admitting ABH. The court heard how the thug, who was recently released from custody, savagely beat his ex partner and bit her face after turning up at her home in the middle of the night on December 10 last year. | West Yorkshire Police/National World

11. Riley Williams
Riley Williams, 19, of Bushmoor Walk, Manchester, was jailed for 12 months after admitting a charge of illegally conveying an article into a prison. The teenage prisoner tried to smuggle drugs back into a jail that were secretly planted for him while he was on day release. | National World

12. Natasha Conneely
Natasha Conneely, a former police officer, was jailed for 18 months after admitting removing a GPS tag from the ankle of a burglar to have a night of passion at a Leeds hotel in June. She was part of an offender management unit for Bedfordshire Police when her inappropriate relationship was discovered in May 2023. | National World/Getty
