Royal Armouries Museum

The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds is set to reopen following a six-month closure.

Home of the national collection of arms and armour, staff at the Leeds Dock museum say they are delighted to welcome back visitors on Wednesday, September 16.

A Leeds United mad dad has added a huge club badge from the side of Elland Road to his vast collection of memorabilia.

It had been taken down from Elland Road's East Stand when the entrance underwent a recent expansion.

Fines for not wearing face coverings when required are set to go up on Friday.

Under the new rules, which begin on Friday (August 28), fines for not wearing a facemask when mandated start at £100 and double for each following offence, up to a maximum of £3,200.

Rave shut down by police

An illegal rave was shut down by police after around 300 people attended.

The force said officers had missiles thrown at them as they attended the illegal event in Deighton, Huddersfield.
