A laser was shone into a man's eyes while at the park with his child.

Police investigating the incident as an assault and are appealing for witnesses

It happened at around 5.15pm on Monday, 15 February at Calder Holmes Park in Hebden Bridge.

There were no serious injuries as a result, police said.

The red laser was shone from the direction of the skate park.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of assault at a park in Calderdale.

"The incident happened at around 5.15pm on Monday, 15 February at Calder Holmes Park in Hebden Bridge.

"A man was in the park with his child, when he had a red laser shone into his eyes.

"No serious injuries were sustained.

"The laser was shone from the direction of the skate park.

"Enquiries are ongoing.
