Five arrested after cannabis worth £300,000 found in south Leeds raids

Cannabis worth £300,000 has been seized by police after a series of raids in the Middleton area.

Officers searched four properties over the last seven days, according to a Facebook post by the Leeds South Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).

Cannabis farms were found at each property, along with a "substantial amount" of drying cannabis.

Five people have been arrested and four people have been charged and remanded to appear at court and one person remains on bail.

The post read: "Officers from Leeds Neighbourhood Impact Team and your Neighbourhood Policing Team have executed 4 warrants over the last 7 days in the Middleton area.

"Cannabis farms were located at each address along with a substantial amount of drying cannabis.

"The total recovery is estimated to be in the region of £300,000 which has been stopped from reaching the streets.

"In total 5 people have been arrested, 4 have been charged and remanded to appear at court and one remains on bail".
