Elderly motorcyclist seriously injured following crash in Fairburn

A motorcyclist in his 70s has been seriously injured in a crash in Leeds.

The black vintage motorcycle crashed into a parked car in Back Newton Lane in Fairburn at around 5.15pm on April 24.

The rider, aged in his 70s, suffered serious injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the motorcyle beforehand to contact the roads policing unit on 101, or by using the options on the West Yorkshire Police site.

The log reference is 1345 of April 24.

A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Leeds.

"It happened at about 5.15pm on 24 April, when a black vintage motorcycle collided with a parked vehicle in Back Newton Lane, Fairburn.

"The rider, a male in his seventies, suffered serious injuries.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the movements of the motorcycle prior to it is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101, or by using the options on the West Yorkshire Police website.

"The log reference is 1345 of 24 April."
