Here are eight heinous criminals who were sentenced in Leeds this week.
Their crimes include a “warped” Leeds paedophile, who smirked in court, and continued to deny sexually assaulting a teenage girl was wrong.
Also sentenced at Leeds Crown Court this week, was a dangerous drive who turned his car into a “lethal weapon” before causing the death of an 18-year-old girl.

1. Antony Cox
"Warped" paedophile Antony Cox smirked as he was handed an extended jail term of nine years with five years on licence for sexually assaulting a teenage girl. The court heard the 51-year-old admitted the charges against him at the advice of legal counsel, but continues to deny the vile abuse should be deemed “criminal offences”. He was also given an indefinite-length sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and put on the sex offender register for life. | WYP
2. Zeshan Yasir
Car garage owner Zeshan Yasir has been jailed for 20 months after he was caught selling car parts that had been stolen in burglaries. Officers in Scotland contacted West Yorkshire Police in November last year concerning the burglary weeks prior in which a BMW X3 was taken. They attended Yasir's garage in Armley and found parts from that car, along with parts from more than 11 other stolen vehicles. | WYP / YEP / Google Maps
3. Jordan Ibbetson
Manipulative paedophile Jordan Ibbetson was jailed for 30 months after he admitted two counts of sexual assaults on young girls. The 34-year-old, who threatened to kill himself if they told anyone, tried to blame drink and drugs and claims not to have a sexual interest in children. 4. Ziggy Forde
Pervert Ziggy Forde has been jailed for three years after he targeted a 10-year-old over Xbox and would make “weird sex noises.” The 25-year-old convinced the boy to play truth or dare and asked the boy to expose his genitals, and also exposed his. Forde was also given an indefinite-length sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and put him on the sex offender register for 10 years. | WYP / Getty
5. Leighton Rangley
Leighton Rangley was issued with a three-and-a-half year prison sentence at Leeds Crown Court after pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and marijuana. The repeat drug dealer, 20, was found with £2,000 of crack cocaine stored in new trainers and was told that his sentences will “get much larger” if he keeps offending. | WYP/YEP
6. Connor Callaghan
Homeless Connor Callaghan, who stole a JCB mini digger from a site in Leeds on New Year’s Eve, has been jailed for 40 months for dangerously driving an e-bike through the streets and being in possession of crack cocaine. The 25-year-old rode through red lights, drove on the wrong side of the road, went the wrong way on a roundabout and narrowly missed a car before losing control and falling off. | WYP
