The faces of eight criminals who faced judges at Leeds Crown Court this week

Here are eight heinous criminals who were sentenced in Leeds this week.

Their crimes include a “warped” Leeds paedophile, who smirked in court, and continued to deny sexually assaulting a teenage girl was wrong.

Also sentenced at Leeds Crown Court this week, was a dangerous drive who turned his car into a “lethal weapon” before causing the death of an 18-year-old girl.

Thomas Sherwood was sentenced to a total of 14 years imprisonment this week for causing the death of 18-year-old Georgia Bendelow by dangerous driving. The court heard how the 36-year-old had borrowed the high-performance M3 BMW with one witness describing the car as “sounding like a jet engine." Georgia's mother, who was driving, and boyfriend were both seriously injured in the crash, but survived.
