A man has been charged with attempted murder after armed police stormed an address in Leeds.

Jerome Foley, 33, was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court today (September 4).

It comes after armed police were reportedly searching for a wanted man at an address on Gledsdale Mount, East End Park.

A significant police presence was reported at around lunchtime on Monday (September 2).

He was arrested in connection with a series of recent offences, including wounding with intent.

Police confirmed this morning that he has now been charged with attempted murder, along with other offences.
