Leeds drug driver was found to be 16 times over legal limit
He was jailed after judge said he was left with little choice
A cocaine-fuelled driver has been jailed after being caught twice, including one incident when he was 16 times over the legal limit.
Ian Metcalf was jailed at Leeds Crown Court for a litany of offences, which also included shoplifting, carrying knives, drugs and failing to show up for court.
It was heard that he had been pulled over twice in late 2025, including December 21 when he found to be three times over the limit for cocaine and 16 times over the limit for the cocaine breakdown product, benzoylecgonine.
He was found to have nine wraps of heroin on him also.

The 40-year-old was caught twice with bladed weapons - a kitchen knife in his car, and then later a lock knife in the vehicle.
He also went on a thieving spree, stealing hundreds of pounds worth of goods from B&M and The Range in Kirkstall, and Kamala Food in Bramley.
Metcalf, of Valley Road, Pudsey, appeared in court over a video link from HMP Leeds.
He admitted 16 offences in total, two for drug driving, two of possessing bladed articles, seven for shoplifting, four of failing to surrender to custody and one of possessing Class A drugs.
Mitigating, Anthony Sugare had little to say, other than Metcalf had genuine reasons for having the knives.
Judge Simon Batiste said previous court orders had seen an "utter lack of compliance" from Metcalf.
He added: "In my judgement, only immediate custody can possibly be justified."
He jailed him for 15 months in total, and banned him from driving for two years and five months.
