Drivers fined and given points for using mobile phones in Holbeck
Drivers were stopped by police in Holbeck after being spotted using their mobile phones on Friday afternoon.
West Yorkshire Police officers conducted patrols in Holbeck on Friday (March 12).
A total of three drivers were reported for using their mobile phones whilst driving, police said.
The drivers will now be given six points and a £200 fine following the police stops.
Police said: "T2 Inner South officers conducted a mobile phone op this afternoon in Holbeck.
"3 drivers were reported for using their mobile phones whilst driving & will get 6 points & a £200 fine.
"Driving on your mobile phone is one of the main causes of vehicle deaths & serious injury."
