They used a crowbar to access the home through a window.

The thieves then "trashed" the family's bedrooms and stole a number of items.

The mum said: "It’s horrific.

"They trashed our bedroom to steal my partner's son's phone off the side which was practically new.

"They took a Samsung a70 and Christmas presents for my son, toys in a delivery package unopened due to not needing to as I knew what the toys were for Christmas.

"I’d just collected them and shoved them on the side in our bedroom before leaving Friday to go away.

"I can't bare to go upstairs.

"All I’ve done is clean and clean and clean again since it happened."

The family spoke to the Yorkshire Evening Post to warn other nearby residents of the burglary.

Police said they were called in relation to a burglary at the home, which occurred sometime between October 23 and 26.
