These are the names and faces of 55 despicable criminals were locked up in Leeds during October 2026.
Their crimes include a violent thug who told his children their mother was in hospital after murdering her and dumping her body in a freezer at their Wakefield home.
Also sentenced at Leeds Crown Court last month, were a pair of racing motorists who caused the deaths of a mother and her four-year-old daughter as they walked to school.

7. Daniel Heany
“Disgusting” criminal Daniel Heany, who broke into a city centre restaurant and purposely defecated on the floor before leaving, has been jailed for for four years and seven months. The sick 31-years-old smashed a side window to enter the restaurant on May 13. Stealing power tools, he then went behind the counter and dropped his trousers. He also admitted more than 20 shoplifting offences. | WYP
8. Bradley Appleton
Recently-convicted paedophile Bradley Appleton has been sentenced to 16 months in prison for breach of his sexual harm prevention order after he changed his surname on his Tinder profile to Nuttall, preventing a mum he was dating from being able to Google him. 9. Rytis Valickas
Leeds dealer Rytis Valickas was sentenced to four in prison this week after he was caught with ‘low-quality’ drugs worth £1,770 in his car after his “nervous” behaviour alerted police. The 33-year-old was discovered with a black bag containing 59 separate grip sealed bags of low-quality cocaine, some 56% below the standard purity. He has previous convictions for possession and possession with intent to supply. | WYP/YEP
10. Rebecca Revans
Rebecca Revans, who stole lingerie from the M&S store on Briggate, has been jailed for 14 months after going on the run for nine months. The 37-year-old admitted theft from shop, failing to attend the drug test and failing to attend court. She was already on a suspended sentence, so opted not to turn herself in for fear of going to prison. | WYP
11. Jan Hajnala
Convicted paedophile Jan Hajnala has been jailed for 30 months after staying at a woman’s house where she lived with her young daughter. The visit put 49-year-old Czech in breach of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) he was previously given for attempting communicate with young girls over the internet in 2022. 12. Kamran Hussain
Known drug dealer Kamran Hussain was jailed for 44 months at Leeds Crown Court after he was found with a stash of crack cocaine at his “luxury penthouse”. The 25-year-old, now of no fixed address, admitted dealing in cannabis and crack cocaine, along with possession of criminal property. | WYP / YEP
