These are the names and faces of 55 despicable criminals were locked up in Leeds during October 2026.
Their crimes include a violent thug who told his children their mother was in hospital after murdering her and dumping her body in a freezer at their Wakefield home.
Also sentenced at Leeds Crown Court last month, were a pair of racing motorists who caused the deaths of a mother and her four-year-old daughter as they walked to school.

1. David Barraclough
Violent and callous bully David Barraclough told his children their mother was in hospital after murdering her and dumping her body in a freezer at their Wakefield home. The 46-year-old killed Carolann Barraclough with a hammer, delivering multiple blows to her head, then bound her in tape before putting her in the chest freezer in the utility room. He was sentenced to 22 years and 1 month. | WYP
2. Tyler Camfield
Tyler Camfield was jailed for five years at Leeds Crown Court this week after officers found a rusty, smoothbore revolver and live ammunition at his home in Knottingley while carrying out a search warrant. The 23-year-old later admitted during interview that it was his weapon and had bought it because of a violent incident in 2022 in which his home was broken into. | WYP / YEP
3. Dale Knights
Predatory rapist Dale Knights was sentenced to 19 years in prison this week for two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. The 33-year-old was also convicted of engaging in coercive and controlling behaviour with two other women, plus pleaded guilty to a further offence of stalking. He was put on the sex offender register for life and given a sexual harm prevention order. | WYP/YEP
4. Verity Rapley
Verity Rapley has been jailed for 16 months and given a restraining order to keep her away from her family home after she scaled the walls of her family's estate and attacked her relations after they caught her stealing. The 31-year-old bit, scratched and lashed out at her brother and father, while her mother was forced to hide in a bathroom. | WYP
5. Robert Pratt
Convicted paedophile Robert Pratt has been sentenced to 39 months in prison after downloading more than 400 abuse images and videos, some containing some of most horrific abuse imaginable and involving the rape of very young children. The 33-year-old has been given a lifelong restraining order against his ex girlfriend after he tried to claim she had framed him by downloading the vile images. | WYP / YEP
6. Reuben Scotter
Thug Reuben Scotter has been jailed for 39 months after he stabbed a man in his own bedroom on Christmas Day in a frenzied assault, leaving him needing multiple rounds of surgery. The 22-year-old lunged at the man with the kitchen knife with such ferocity that blood was sprayed around the room. He was given a 10-year restraining order to keep him away from the victim. | WYP / YEP
