The order is in place until 8.30pm on Saturday, October 31. During this time, officers will have additional powers to manage increased levels of anti-social behaviour and disorder, including proactively dispersing young people involved in anti-social behaviour.

Anyone who refuses to leave when instructed to do so, or returns to the area within 48 hours of being directed to leave, could be arrested and prosecuted.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “A total of six were dispersed last night and Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPT) will be following up with further Community Protection Warnings or contracts, which will have further restrictions and exclusions for up to 12 months; these could lead to further prosecution or injunctions.

“These further actions are actions NPT are taking outside of the dispersals in our ongoing work to reduce ASB in the ward.

“Parents are asked to highlight the impact these can have on their children and ensure they are aware of the dangers of associating with this sort of behaviour.

“We ask the community to support us in helping making this time of year enjoyable for all.

“ASB causing a risk of serious harm to persons or traffic can be reported via 999, ASB can be reported via 101 or online via the West Yorkshire police website.”
