Their crimes include a dangerous sexual predator who picked up a woman that thought he was her pre-booked taxi and then raped her.
Among those who also faced justice at Leeds Crown Court this year was a a drug-dealing gunman who shot an innocent bystander during a drive-by attack outside a petrol in Wakefield.

19. Aaron Buck
Twisted child rapist Aaron Buck was told the psychological harm he had caused to his toddler victim will be “permanent”. Leeds Crown Court how the 34-year-old would force his victim to play the “willy game”, in which he abused the youngster and coerced him into sexual acts. Buck was handed a 16-year jail sentence, given a lifelong sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and put on the sex offender register for life. | WYP
20. David Lawn
Ageing paedophile David Lawn has been brought to justice 30 years after he began sexually abusing a young girl. The court heard that the abuse began the 1990s when the youngster was just five, and went on for around six years. He was handed a 21-year extended jail sentence after being found guilty after a trial of 16 offences, including rape. | WYP
21. Thomas Sawyer
Pervert Thomas Sawyer was deemed a danger to children after forcing a 14-year-old girl into degrading sex acts. The 30-year-old admitted a string of offences, but only after the victim was forced to give evidence at trial. 22. Innocent Majoni
Innocent Majoni, who is on the run, was handed a 13-year jail term at Leeds Crown Court for three counts of rape and two of sexual assault. 23. Alan Ward
Predator Alan Ward was jailed for 13 years for sexual offences against a teenage girl in the 1980s and 1990s. He was aged in his 30s and his victim was 14 at the time. The victim came forward to report Ward, now 71, in 2020, which prompted an investigation by the Wakefield District Safeguarding Unit. | WYP
