Cricketer opens Leeds hospice play areas

Yorkshire cricketer Ryan Sidebottom has officially opened two newly refurbished outdoor play areas at Martin House Hospice.

The hospice, in Boston Spa, renovated two of its largest play facilities to incorporate equipment that is fully accessible and suitable for all wheelchairs, including a wheelchair swing and roundabout, a large activity centre with a slide and sand pit, trampolines and a water play station. A second phase is due to start later next year after new walkways and lighting have been installed.

Residents can see the play areas at the annual open day on Sunday, October 2 from 11am to 3pm.
