Community shows heart for family of blast victim Sorrell Leczkowski
The service for the 14-year-old Allerton High School pupil takes place tomorrow, six weeks to the day since the atrocity which claimed the lives of 22 victims at the end of an Ariana Grande concert.
In a touching display of support today, a shop owner near the Leczkowski family home in Adel staged a fundraising event that attracted a swell of local support.

Hide AdPraff Patel, who runs Costcutter on Raynel Approach in Ireland Wood, organised an afternoon of food and fun to help raise donations for a collection in aid of Sorrell’s family.
There was a bouncy castle for children and cakes, curry and other bites laid on for supporters.
It came a fortnight after the original collection box was stolen from the shop.
Mr Patel said: “We’ve had overwhelming support from people from round here after the box got stolen. It upset a lot of people so we thought why not go for something like this in a big way and help the family out?

Others killed in the terror attack on May 22 included Leeds Beckett University student Courtney Boyle, 19, and Wendy Fawell, 50, from Otley.
Many more were seriously injured, including Sorrell’s mother and grandmother.
