Officers remained at the scene at 6.30pm following the collision which was reported to police shortly before 3.30pm today.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said he was unable to confirm the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries.
Motorists travelling along the road from Armley to Owlcoates are affected.
