Bake Off Queen Nadiya returns to Leeds
he Great British Bake Off winner was visiting to take part in the annual food-focused event and show off her show-stopping baking skills.
Nadiya, who lived in Oakwood for over a decade with her husband and children, shared some of her top tips and tricks and demonstrated some of her favourite recipes.

Hide Ad“I always love coming back to Leeds, particularly when it’s to be part of events such as the Leeds Indie Food Festival,” she said.
“The boys like coming back up north too – they’re very proud of their Yorkshire roots!”
She added: “Leeds as a city has lots to offer in terms of different cuisines and is really starting to position itself as one of the foodie hotspots of the north.”

Hide AdNadiya talked visitors through how to whip up some of her signature dishes as she promoted her upcoming book, Nadiya’s Kitchen, which will launch in June.
The book includes chapters ranging from Lazy Sunday Mornings to Midnight Feasts.
The mouthwatering delights which Nadiya helps readers rustle up include Bengali Korma, Crispy Taco Chicken Salsa Cups, Churros French Toast, Virgin Mojito Lollipops, Mango and Parsley Pavlovas and Salted Pretzel Fudge.
