£5,531 donation for Leeds Mencap
a cheque for more than £5,000 was presented to Leeds Mencap yesterday by Leeds-based firm First Response Group.
The company, based on Sheepscar Way, organised a coffee morning, Halloween party and BBQ lunch to raise funds and also received other donations. The money will help the charity to continue its work, which improves the lives and prospects of children and adults with learning disabilities.
Yesterday Loretta Jones, head of fundraising at Leeds Mencap, said: “First Response Group have just been amazing.
“We are delighted to have an ongoing relationship with them.”
