If you are passionate about truly authentic Indian cooking and want a restaurant where the owner/chef cooks everything from scratch, then Singh’s Leeds is the place to try.

Co-owner and chef Harvinder Singh’s desire to create the best dishes is so great that he has just returned from a trip to India to gather more recipes to prepare for his loyal customers at Singh’s Leeds.

Singh’s Leeds is where you find real authentic home-cooked Indian street food, where everything is made fresh from carefully collected recipes – some of which have been passed down through generations of Harvinder’s family.

There is nothing else like this in Leeds. We serve the sort of taster dishes that you would only find in restaurants in India – and our food is delicious and affordable.

Harvinder Singh

He added: “Everything we cook is made from scratch to our own recipes. Our restaurant is 100% Indian, from the chefs in the kitchen to the food we serve and the waiters who serve it at your table.”

Co-owners Harvinder and Harmeet Singh have a long-established background as Indian master chefs, with decades of experience between them.

Their exciting and tasty recipes integrate classical Indian cooking tradition with modern tastes and they are gastronomic innovators of Indian street food. They were recently shortlisted as a finalist for the Oliver Awards in Leeds.

King of the King Thali and new lunch opening

Singh’s Leeds is so popular with its loyal following that it is now opening its doors for lunch time servings, from 11am – 2pm every day.

Serving speciality chaat, these favourite dishes on the menu include crispy puri shells filled with chickpeas, potatoes served with tamarind water, and sweet and spicy chutney.

For mains, special thali is recommended – and who wouldn’t want to try the King of the King, serving four diners with a range of starters, chaats, as many as 10 curries to suit all tastes and vegetarian choices, with three kulche breads, lassi yogurt drinks, and enough poppadoms, pickles, salads and chutneys for all!

Popular masalas, butter chicken and lamb rogan have also made it on to the menu selection.

For desserts, if you haven’t tried sweet, sticky balls of gulab jamun, they are a must, together with homemade kulfi with almond and pistachio.

The drinks menu also takes you on a captivating journey through the vibrant and diverse flavours of the world, with Indian Kingfisher beer as a must!

Even the look and feel of the restaurant takes you straight to India for a truly authentic experience.
