It celebrates Yorkshire Day today (August 1) and a Be Your Beautiful weekend-long event at White Rose Shopping Centre.

The Shades of Yorkshire palette includes 35 colours, each named after a Yorkshire location, trope, or icon, including Sean Bean Eye Green, Flamingo(Land) Pink and Cockroft Gold, after White Rose’s accessibility ambassador and Paralympic champion Hannah Cockroft.
It promotes a Be Your Beautiful event this weekend at the centre, part of a wider beauty, cosmetics, health and wellbeing campaign, incorporating values of kindness and being true to yourself. See white-rose.co.uk/whats-on/be-your-beautiful.
There will be a giant digital scratch card machine, for a chance of win one of hundreds of prizes and an Empowerment Mirror, featuring designs and slogans by Instagram’s @label.lady.1 aka Jemma Solomon.
Unused beauty products and toiletries can be donated to Leeds South and East Foodbank and Leeds’ favourites Back Chat Brass will play today.

We’ve paid tribute to some local icons, while also laughing at some regional stereotypes with shades like Whippet Grey and Mardy. We think it’s going to go down a treat.
