They are among some of Leeds Dogs Trust’s longest standing residents - but they are on the search for someone to love them and give them their forever home.
Underdogs is a term the charity, which has a rehoming centre off York Road in Leeds, uses for dogs who have been waiting for their forever home for more than six months.
These canine companions often require additional training, ongoing veterinary care, or have specific rehoming needs, while others are simply overlooked.
Among them is adorable seven-year-old Shar Pei Edie who is still on the hunt for her forever home after spending nearly most of her life at the centre.

7. Jupiter
Meet Jupiter, he’s a six-year-old Dobermann Cross who forms a very strong bond with his friends. Jupiter is what we call a ‘Velcro dog’, because he will stick by your side. He likes to be with his friends all the time, so it will be a little while until he can be built up to any time on his own, but this just means more Jupiter cuddles. He needs a calm and predictable adult only home where he can build a good routine and continue smashing his training. | Leeds Dogs Trust

8. Edie
Edie is a beautiful seven-year-old Shar Pei who has been waiting to find her forever home longer than any other dog at Dogs Trust Leeds. She’s spent most of her life with Dogs Trust and is hoping that someone will see the amazing dog we see. She is very shy initially, but with a little time and plenty of treats, she will soon be nudging you for a bit of fuss! Edie is looking for an adult-only home where she can be the only pet, soaking up all the attention. | Leeds Dogs Trust
