As we step into August, the team at Dogs Trust Leeds are hoping to match a whole new wave of lovely rescue dogs with their forever families.
We’ve taken a look at the rehoming centre’s latest lineup - filtering out those who have already had their adoption applications reserved, while bringing back a few familiar faces and long-stay pups who are still holding out for their big break.
From lively young collies and energetic spaniels to affectionate greyhounds, gentle giants, and snuggly seniors, here are 20 adorable pooches currently waiting for a fresh start and a loving home in Leeds.
Will you be able to open your home for one of them this month?

19. Teddy (Pug Cross)
Teddy is a snuggly, house-trained 6-year-old Pug cross currently living with a foster carer. He is full of fun, super affectionate, and loves making everyone smile with his playful energy. Teddy gets excited meeting other dogs on walks and is best suited as the only pet in the home for now, living with an active family or older children. | Dogs Trust

20. Teddy (Crossbreed)
Teddy is a friendly senior crossbreed (aged 8+ years) who brings plenty of love and wisdom. He is house-trained, quiet, and enjoys gentle walks alongside plenty of sofa snuggles. Teddy is looking for a cosy, loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by comfort. | Dogs Trust
