If you’re all caught up on your favourite Netflix shows, or you’ve exhausted your general knowledge during the family Zoom quiz, there are plenty of fun courses and classes available online to keep you occupied during lockdown.

Whether you’re hoping to get fit or learn a new language, we’ve rounded up some of the best online classes in the Leeds area.

Health and fitness

Active Leeds is running a range of fitness classes that can be completed at home, including Tai chi, kettlebells, and Zumba.

Yoga, body conditioning, and HIIT are just some of the online classes being offered by Leeds Beckett Fitness via Facebook Live.

Leeds AEGIS Martial Arts Academy is helping members keep up with their training at home via Zoom classes.

Leeds Art Group will be providing a number of online classes from the beginning of March, including courses in drawing and mixed media.

Cookery

Sprinkles Baking Box runs virtual classes, offering budding bakers the opportunity to hone their skills at home. Participants can sign up to have all dry ingredients posted to their home in advance of the live bake-along session.

Languages

Fancy learning French? Alliance Francaise Leeds, based at Leeds Trinity University, co-ordinates tailored one-to-one tuition through Skype or Zoom.

For kids

Number Train provides fun online maths activities for pre-school children, costing £4 per session. Led by experienced primary school teacher Annette Peterson, the classes have a different theme each week. For more information, see the Number Train website.
